I shot this one last weekend in ft. lauderdale. Today was rainy and overcast thanks to Dennis. No dangerous weather though.

Beautiful sunset Laurie, love the dramatic sky and the gorgeous colors, the reflections on the water are marvelous, and there is a bit of mystery in this one as well. The buildings on the horizon are darkened but the lights make me wonder who's there, what are they doing, are they enjoying this beautiful sunset too...and I love the depth as well...very well seen and captured...:):)Linda

Always the mark of a fundametally right picture in my view - one you don't have to fiddle too much with! What makes this for meis the textures on the water. Its always interesting to note the way the water can change character according to shutter speed. Looking at this the shutter speed was relatively high (1/20s minimum). If you'd used a slow shutter speed the water would have taken on a satin texture of even a glass like texture if the exposure were long enough!
I also like the way the sky colours move smoothly from tone to tone, and the delicate shades have been preserved. Lovely late sunset shot Laurie!
