Hi jeanette, Two things make this image. The strong tones and the very lifelike capture of the textures, and the perfect geometrical composition, making the steel thread plate intersect perfectly with the upper left and lower right corner. Very creative mixture between geometry and objects. Very cool shot!

Interesting tension ..... crushing dark riveted thick... plate ... steel.... against a catwalk suddenly made to seem thin and diminished by the effect of the light penetrating its surface and exposing its internal fragility ..... life could be in the balance here ..... maybe even civilization ...... and holding on by only a single bolt and cable.....

OK, so how much risk were you taking while capturing this image? It looks as if you could have been on a catwalk ... perhaps at some height?
For me, the rust (red sand?) makes the picture. It so nicely adds a little extra to what would have otherwise been entirely cool colors.

i think this must be called "the blue diagonal" project... strong and compact composition full of textures and shapes following an almost monochromatic pattern... almost blue but not quite... has a cranchy taste and a vivacity that takes the eye by surprise... wonderful work my friend... congrats... emy :)
