About I just liked the expression on his face and the way he balanced himself. Charming little fellow. He's waving at everyone too :)

Poe! if you only knew how many times i have tried to shoot one of these "good luck" fellows...they are very skittish out here and all it takes is a blink of the eye to startle them ...bravo for capturing this delightful and colorful fellow!...the comp has a very meditative look;simple and mellow lighting...thanks for comments,Poe.....Shameless

Amazing shot, Rebecca! I have tried and tried to get a good dragonfly shot and have had zero success. Not only did you capture him beautifully, the composition is fantastic! Kudos to you - very well done!

I like your crop/composition here.. very nice work here my friend! Ive wanted to photo these fast things.. but they are hard to catch when they actually sit down. They might be more nervous in my land perhaps. hehe

Wow, Rebecca! What a magnificent catch. I am betting this was closer to the 300mm end of the zoom. Nice light and framing. You know it is a good photo when you make eye contact with the insect it the "eyes" are in focus!

Del Metheny   {K:25473} 7/12/2005
The wings, the colors, and the eyes make them such a great subject to film. You did yourself proud with this photo. Excellent!!. Del.

I have a soft spot for insect macros and especially those where you can see every detail of these disgusting creatures. I like this one for other reasons.....because you can not see all those details...instead the beauty of the insect from a bit further away.....one of the most delicate well balanced and stylish insect macros I've seeen on UF

Magnus
