This is a truly lovely scene, Don. The village clinging to the river with the cultivated fields and castle on the steep slopes make a great composition. Good detail with very nice muted colors. Nicely done! Regards, Larry.

Very nice landscape Don...Is the hill terraced or are those walls?

Don Price   {K:1376} 7/11/2005
Looks like a place you could spend a couple days filling up your camera chips... Very nice detail and a great sky

Another beautiful scene from your trip, Don. I think we are getting to see the best of what you saw on your trip. The sky is a perfect backdrop to this scene.

I think it was terraced. Don.

Now this is where I like to be in a boat seeing all the castles on the Rhine. Excellent photograph and capture.

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/11/2005
Beautiful, indeed, Don!
Perhaps a little more contrast would really make it pop?
Best regards, Chris

Wonderful Photograph, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. I wish I could remember what I saw in Germany, but I was just a youngster... Not interested in anything but playing. I do remember a little aout the crossing in a Ship in the early to mid 50s. (Shows you how old I am)

Thanks for sharing, and thanks for the wonderful comment on my Photo...
GOD Bless...
Your friend, Peter Daniel

I was there but you brought back better memories than me Don! Kudos!

Carsten Ranke   {K:14453} 7/14/2005
Don, it is an awesome scenery, but I have a general comment on your toning (hope you dont mind). First I thought it was my monitor, but with another monitor it is the same, a bit flat looking tonal impression. I had a quick look @ the histogram - there is room for improvement on the left (black) side, so I tried a levels adjustment with a slight S shaped curve.

That is the levels and curves adjusted version

Carsten

Thanks Carsten, it does seem a little flat and t his does improve the scene considerably. Thanks so much for your input.. I try and not get too much contrast as I lose detail in the shadows. Guess that was my problem, too flat.
Thanks.

Don.
