Hi lukasz, this is a shot that makes me jealous. Whenever I'm in an environment where one would expect a dew / glace rijcovered cobweb, I desperately to find such a setting as you've captured here. I somehow always fail miserably. Great shot, primarily because of the simplicity of the background, ridden of any distractions. Besides, I don't think the lighting could've been any better. Superb.

Cheers,

Hugo

This is terrific. The lighting is perfect for the subject, and the DOF is also well done. I'm impressed that the spider web did not collapse with the frozen dew on it. What a great job you did capturing this image!

P.S. Good call on the off-center placement!

Excellent, Lukasz! It looks like the silk has been covered in silver.

Sally Morgan   {K:9219} 7/17/2005
How beautiful - the light falling on your spider's web really makes it stand out from the nice plain green, well blurred background. I like that you didn't shoot it all - but just a chunk - it works really well.

Jeff Quigley   {K:965} 7/17/2005
This a great shot Lukasz. I have never seen frost on a web before. The lighting, focus and the green background are fabulous.
