Simply Stunning. You bring a very strong sense of empowerment to these orchids.

Emerging strong and empowered for sure..wow, incredible for a flower, very creative and artistic expression..wonderful tones and I like that it's coming out of darkness as if it's triumphed and is standing proud..very interesting and very well done Laurie...:):)Linda

Amazing flowers Laurie. First i thought there are animals skulls, but later i saw wonderful orchids.
Great composition, nice b&w tones, intersting forms. Great work!
Greetings! Robert

Thanks Linda! I'm playing around with different tones and I've found one that I really like. I'm glad you liked this one. :)

Wow.... so amazin! In the thumbnail they reminded me of some spacecraft from a 60's TV show called Space 1999... very similar to those seen in some of the Star Wars movies too!

The skeletal view is excellent. There is a real feel of something of bones here, then you realise what it is and it suddenly softens in its feel. Excellent shot!!!

Luca dF   {K:426} 7/12/2005
Laurie... this is definitely your best flower!! 7 brava!!

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 7/12/2005
Another beauty, Laurie! The orchids are beautifully isolated against the background, and the tones are definitely excellent! When I saw the thumbnail, the first thing that came to mind was something like a heraldic emblem - a shield and swords, maybe? There's something faintly menacing about the pointiness of the petals and their arrangement... Very cool! :)

Judi Liosatos   {K:34029} 7/13/2005
Very beautiful capture and tones. It looks almost prehistoric. Well done Laurie and thankyou for your comments.
