Interesting subject. I think composition is too centralized. This image would be much better in BW.

Charles,

You know, you're right. I'm going to try a re-crop and edit. I'll post it when I'm done.

Charles,

Attached is a B&W version.

Todd .. I think your BW conversion is too dark and lacks contrast ... the electricity wires still there ... take a look in my conversion, i simulated the use of a green filter and punch the contrast a little. The wires was removed.

Todd, it looks lovely like this. Great shadowing. I'm anxious to see your B&W version.

Hi Mary,

I already posted a B&W version. Look up. ;^)

Thanks for commenting.

I came back and saw your B&W version. Here's what I like--the new crop of the b&W but with the colour of the first. The colour, to me, is richer and makes the place 'real'.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mary. This photo seems to have stirred up interest. Thanks to all for taking the time to post.

Hi Todd,

I agree with Mary. The colours are what really kick in this shot. Both crops work for me but I would process out the electrical wires. Excellent composition! Well done, and great eye!!!

Shane,

I think I have to learn more about image processing. I'm glad you like the colour version. I think I prefer it as well.

That's a nice composition, Todd! I would add that the image needs to be rotated ever so slightly clock-wise.

Todd Weeks   {K:7594} 7/27/2005
Pierre,

I'm not so sure about rotating it. It has two different peaks, which might be misleading. I also think it has sunk in the back. Or it just needs rotating. ;^)
