Robert, I really like the colors. However, I would try it again with a little more light in the middle to get the details to show :) Just my opinion~

Very nice approach, Robert. I like the results you have achieved here! In particular the high contrast and slightly low-key approach have suited this sunflower very nicely.
The composition is simple but very effective.
