About This shot was taken in the beginning of May this year in a lovely countryside which is one of the biggest and well known apple orchards area in Poland. Recently I have taken almost all my pictures with long lens (at least 200 mm) because I realized that such lenses are excellent for landscape photography. Man can obtained excellent result such as small DOF, very good angle an, what is important, man can easily separate the object you want to photograph.
Hope you like it :-)
Regards
Lukasz

Very beautiful, almost magical feeling, I feel as if I have shrunk to the size of perhaps a leprachaun, as the trees' leaves and the flowers cover up much of the tree trunk making it appear miniaturized. Well done, mystical shot~

Lovely composition leads the eye to all of the flowers and trees. Wonderful image!

Hi Lukasz, I like the DOF here; especially as the overhead twigs obscure the neatly alighned tree trunks. Interesting idea of using a telezoom, it does work well in creating the limited DOF, but alsos enables you to think in details if the subject is not too far removed. On grey weather, I do find the translucently of the lens and higher aperture to be a bit limiting; as I need to compensate in ISO settings to maintain a decent shutterspeed (I take most of my shots by hand) Good and well balanced composition.

Cheers,

Hugo

great photo Lucasz,
i like a lot the selective focus here, and i agree with you, the "long" lenses allow great effects in landscapes.
greetings

I love this! Your composition and shallow dof really make this shot! Very well done, Lukasz!

Very nice use of the telephoto end of the lens, Lukasz. I like how you have isolated some anbstract detail. Good job.

Carsten Ranke   {K:14453} 7/16/2005
A very nice concept, to shoot a perspective-devoted scenery with a tele wide open. I have used my 70-200/4 lens quite sparingly, probably a mistake when I see your result. The tight perspective and selective sharpness is intriguing, looks very attractive.

Sally Morgan   {K:9219} 7/16/2005
I really like the dof you've used here - the photo really 'pops' out of the screen!
I like the angle you've taken the shot from too - the way the trees are all in a diagonal line from the corner of the photo is very pleasing to the eye!

Stephen Bowden   {K:64519} 7/16/2005
Excellent landscape photograph Lukasz, the colours and composition are both good but what makes it for me is the dof begins not at the beginning but part way into the photograph.

Great work :-)

Best wishes,
Steve
