About I thought the bud on this lantana looks like a satellite orbiting the larger flower.

In the Aack department, my 20D ceased to operate last weekend while shooting at Niagara Falls. It's off at the Canon repair center in New Jersy at the moment.

Lovely colors! Was it a very tiny flower? I love those kind, the kind that you can't really appreciate until you take a nice macro of it to see all the fine details!

I like your idea about the smaller one orbiting the bigger one!! LOL Excellent DOF and composition.

I sure hope you are not too long without your camera.
The satellite picture is a really neat way of looking at this. Great colours.

This is great Jim, the colours/detail/clarity [especially the texture in the leaves] are all good. But the composition fits the title perfectly and yes it does look like a satellite orbiting.
Sorry about your camera
Margaret

It does a bit! Bad news about the 20D... hope its back soon! I have a lens away at the moment for repair so know how it feels to be without a favourite piece of kit....

EEEK! If my 10D packs up I'll have a fit!

Great shot, Jim. Good idea to leave the "satellite" out of focus, it gives the idea of distance, adds a nice 2D effect.
