Fabulous B&W conversion Angela - BTW - if you use Photoshop, I found the coolest B&W conversion action if you'd like it, email me. It does amazing work on the conversions. I love this photo of him. Absolutely wonderful clarity. Well done.

I think your "experiments" work out very well. The 8700 is a phantastic camera, but more important you know how to use :)
Your B&W tones are very good, nice contrast, not overdone, makes the portraits more interesting without trying to push the effect too much.

Thanks so much David for your comments.

I glanced through your portfolio and came across this image which I think is one of the strongest portraits Ï've seen on UF. The tones and cropping (love the chain) are perfect and the look in the boy's face. It reminds me of images I've seen from the American south in the 60's even though it was shot in Michigan recently.

I really like it and will add is as a favourite

Thank you so much Magnus for your wonderful comment.

Hi Angela,

Fantastic portrait and comp. I like how you've included the chain and hand for context. Great skin tones and detail in the hair. Nice job!!

Angela Freed   {K:10061} 8/3/2005
Thanks Terry!
