This is exquisitely beautiful . . . so hard to get the focus right on these and you did it perfectly . . .

Every time I see a truly beautiful macro like this my ambition and determination to take macros is fired up. I've only recently started to take them... I would have been interested to know the shutter and aperture, also the ISO setting.

cessy karina   {K:14205} 7/17/2005
thank you Roger :)
Macro is not the best field I am in but I do like taking photos of flowers . that's one of the reason that I bought macro lens sigma 105mm :)
for this one.
One thing I wish Usefilm to upgrade is the way to upload he he he... so it can automatically read the exif data when we upload the picture or at least put more list in shutter/diafragma inputs :). so, for this one I used ISO 400; f/7.1; 1/160s. I didn't use tripod, that's why I used high ISO. the great thing about canon 350D, the noise is really acceptable even at ISO 800

cheers,
cessy

Thanks for the quick reply, Cessy. My 400 ISO film has good grain, but the grain is more noticeable on the 800 ISO emulsion, and it sometimes makes soft, out-of-focus backgrounds look ugly. Like you, I prefer to use higher ISO to allow higher shutter speeds as my hands seem to be a bit shaky these days. The Sigma macro lens looks very good, as does your Tokina WA zoom.

I love the limited DOF; the orange & yellow colours contrasted sharply with the white petals.

this is a beautiful macro floral, the detail is perfect where it needs to be fading to a nice blur, very well done..
