About This is a BW version of the immediately preceding upload. I created the frame from vines at the side of our house. I know it's busy, but that is sort of the point in this particular instance. I'm just sharing it as it was a labor of love. Antonia

Toni, what a beautiful and imaginative portfolio! I am amazed with your creativity! Adding you to my friends list to be sure not to miss anything new! :)

Cheryl Ogle   {K:24494} 7/17/2005
WOW - Tony, I love the frame and didn't feel distracted by it at all! What an amazing work this has been. You are sooooo talented. I love that you used real wings from a fellow UF friend - what a tribute that is. Great shot in B&W too, but I love the magical color you've made in the color versions the best. This reminds me of the old (really old) "Fairy" books and postcards from the early 1900's. Wonderful.

i love the picture but i think the frame has so much going on with it that it distracts the eye to what is supposed to be looked at. the girl in this enchanted woods..good frame, but photo is better :) regards

David Hofmann   {K:23763} 7/17/2005
works extremely well in B&W, too. I don't really ant to pick a favorite out of the two here as I think they are very different in the way they "speak". The frame works extremely well, too.

Marcus Armani   {K:36597} 7/17/2005

Fantastic. I really like the vine work and think this completes the image especially in these tones.

And what a beautiful labor of love it is Antonia. You're creativity is evident and refreshing. This is what this site is all about, sharing and learning..your work is a wonderful representation of both of those things...wonderful..love all of them..each has it's own charm and character, I'd want them all...:):)Linda

Paul's Photos   {K:35218} 7/17/2005
I like this version better than the color.. but, the frame makes it a bit busy.. this frame (in b&w) may work better with the color version. Since this one is all b&w, it is hard to see where the photo ends and the frame begins.... excellent ps work...

Mary Brown   {K:69853} 7/18/2005
The frame suits it so wonderfully well--keeps the whole picture as part of the fairyland. The frame is not something separate but part of the picture. Fabulous.

Super, SUPER frame!!! It does not look like it's been adapted from the house vine at all. :-) I thought it was from a fancy framing software.

Lori Stitt   {K:74568} 7/19/2005

and AWESOME presentation!!!

Thanks again Lori - I'm really happy to know you like the frame too. Antonia

Andre Denis   {K:61492} 7/20/2005
Toni,
I love the framing and toning on this picture! You may not like, or agree with what I say about it though. I see this image almost as the opposite to the previous colour version. How about a Good Fairy / Bad Fairy set? The little model is so sweet, I wouldn't want to do this to the image, but wouldn't it be great if the image was flipped and you messed around with the eyes or wings to give the fairy a sinister look. You know, kind of the evil twin? Just one of my demented ideas. Maybe just a mischievious fairy, instead of evil?
What do you think?
Andre

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30194} 7/20/2005
That is a very interesting idea Andre -- you are very creative, not demented..hahahaha. It never occurred to me to make a mischievous fairy, though Brian Froud who is so famous for his fairies has made so many delightful ones that I've admired. Thanks for the idea. Now you've got me thinking! Antonia

Francisco Albiol   {K:486} 7/21/2005
Antonia you shows a very well done work : the capture and the PS work. Two thinks are in the backside of your picutures, love and a lot of work. Thanks for sharing.
Regards
Francisco

Fadel J   {K:13747} 7/24/2005
Amazing in BW and very suitable framing Toni! I like Andre's idea, sounds very fitting especially with her back bent.

Gertrud Gozner   {K:14222} 7/26/2005
simply wonderful!! I love the whole series!!
congrats. G.

Margaret Sturgess   {K:49403} 7/28/2005
An amazing frame - lots of work and it's wonderful. I thinbk it suits the image as she looks almost caged in by the vines. I like Andre idea too, that with the darker tones and the vines round a slightly more 'wicked/sinister' fairy might make another interesting image

Nice work! Lovely, but just a bit gruesome at the same time. (My words may be wrongly selected, anyway English is a foreign language for me as you know, I meant it has some thrill in it, like in Sleepy Hollow film :) ) regards.

Trish McCoy   {K:15897} 8/4/2005
