About An extention of the Medical department of the University of Maastricht... It's white with some red accents in between the windows, as it's a brand new building it's still very white... LOL!! I thought it made a neat abstract...

It makes a super abstract! I really like those lines going diagonaly across the frame - I can imagine them vanishing off in the distance. I like that it is simple and bold - and the frame you've used really compliments it too.

Jürgen Reinold   {K:1651} 7/17/2005
This is a fantastic shot, Petal. The arrangement on an angle and the framing is just outstanding. I have not finally decided for myself if virtual framing and 3d effects are better or not, but your abstract definitely is enhanced by the framing.

Greetings to Maastricht (we lived in Aachen for 12 years and spent many happy hours in Maastricht).

Jürgen

Alastair Bell   {K:29571} 7/17/2005
It makes a great abstract Petal! Love the way you've used the diagonals to accentuate and add impact, as well as 'abstractise' the shot even more! I love interesting architecture and this looks really interesting. Sadly Lancaster is missing great architecture so I have to go further afield to do that!

Great shot....

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22103} 7/19/2005
Lovely concept, great execution - try next time to shoot the subject not right on the diagonal from corner to corner, but intentionally place it a little more over and up - perhaps read up on the rule of thirds.

Great photograph.

Hi Petal, nice to meet you on UF and thanks for your comment. You know i really wanted to comment on a different picture... you know it is always the same people either comment on your most recent or the one that already has the most views, but i'm sorry this one just jumped off the page at me, so i had to comment.
EXCELLENT!!! I love this type of graphical image and you have captured it really well, using a combination of tilting and framing to add tension. The clinical look to it with the lines and the touch of red to break it is great. My compliments.

PS: I like your bio too :)

Best wishes from Switzerland
Neil

Pankaj Arora   {K:3752} 9/7/2005
Wow!!

Intelligent observation, very aesthetically executed..I don't know but just wondering if upper right corner could have ended with a 60:40 ratio of dimensions as it began in the the bottom left.

Apart from all this reading your bio....was a pleasure it's own..

Best Wishes
Regards
Pankaj Arora

I thought this was a guitar neck from the thumbail. Was I wrong... lol but I think that's what abstracts are all about, tricking the eye, so obviously this photo works (or I REALLY need to put my glasses on lol) Congrats on the BIP!

Nalin Hettiarachchi   {K:558} 11/18/2008
