Location City -  Valencia
State -  -
Country - Spain   Spain
About Subject background: The city of arts and science in Valencia, seen through my 14 mm lens. This place is perfect for architecture photographers... A pity that I haven't got much time there. I could easily photograph there for days. Here, I like the differences in reflections. rounded ones, rectangular ones... crippled, solid.

PS concept: Some work on the reflections, the sky and the contrast.

What a beautiful place Thilo... Definetely gorgeous for a photographer.... Love the composition... All the different geometric shapes look astonishing... Wonderful reflections... It is like viewing the world upside down.... Great the movement in the water... very subtle, yet creates dynamism to the composition... Very good work here my dear friend...

Cheers,

MaLuisa

abit noise in the sky which could be due to the scanner, great architectural place and even better in some light conditions I agree with you

Sally Morgan   {K:9219} 7/17/2005
You inspired me to go out and get an IR filter - and I love it!
So, I just wanted to say thank you!

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 7/17/2005
Looks like a scene straight out of Gattaca, Thilo.

Very nice and futuristic cityscape, and good capture, with reflections of the skyline.

first of all.. what a cool building.. love the architecture.. love the reflection... wonder if some cropping at the top would help but then it might put the horizon too much in the middle... just seems like might be too much sky.. excellent work

Todd Miller   {K:16461} 7/18/2005
cool architecture, and you're right-great mix of reflections in there. lovely light here too.

Hi Paul,

this time I followed the 1/3 - 2/3 rule straight on. So yes: different croppings are for sure possible. Thanks!

Thilo

Hi Sally,

oh well, that sounds great! Will check your pictures =)

IR is a lot of fun, although it's a lot of work capturing the images.

best wishes,
Thilo

Hi Antonio,

you're right with the noise. The film was kind of bad, too (ISO 100, but noisy as hell).

thx, Thilo

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91033} 7/18/2005
To my eye, this would work well in wide format(cropping 1/3 down from top)...awesome variety of shadowed reflections,glass-like water, and futuristic architecture...Spain seems to be quite artistic.....regards,gayle

Patrick Jacobson   {K:29151} 7/18/2005
I like the perspective and view here. very nice composition! To bad the image is abit skew (look at the buildings in the background).

Cheers
