About Does anybody know what waterfall this is? I know that it is near Telluride Colorado. To get this shot I had to drop down a steep canyon slope and traverse onto a large bolder.

awesome shot. i was just wondering what settings you have to get the misty water look. ive tried and tried and cant seem to do it?

Ryan:

To get veiling on the waterfall just make sure the exposure time is around one second. You will need a tripod. I use a ND filter (netural density) to cut the light way down and I increase the F-Stop as far as it will go. The objective is to let very little light in so the exposure will be as long as possible.

Also try to shoot one stop above and under - metering waterfalls never seems to work.

Great 'slowmo' shot!! Beautiful colors, super silky water, great angle and excellent composition... well done!!! A good photographer risks 'life and limb' to get a great shot.... so good on you... ;-D!!!!
