About Hi,
this shot was taken at the late sunset at the meadow covered by growing long grass. I used long lens (210mm) to extract this one ear from the other and to make the background blurred. F4 aperture was used. I took this picture in the direction of sun - it caused this warm yellow-brown cast; the sun rays are visible on the ear.
I have to admit that in general I have almost quited wide lens in favor of long lens - they are much better in landscape photography that wide lens and give better and interesting results (IMHO).
Hope you like it
regards
Lukasz

Lukasz,

I hear what you are saying about long lenses in landscape. They are great at picking out details, and people just tend to go for the wider lenses because that is what they are told is suitable for landscape. I think a lot depends on your persona style. The style you have developed seems to suit a longer focal length, and your results are very nice.

A wide-angle lens will have its uses for people with different approaches and styles.

Simplicity in its best! =) Very nice shot and the blurred out background works great here and makes the shot more interesting. Ive also started using a tele lens instead of my 12-24mm wide lens. Gives very nice result with using a tele.. can be abit tricky sometimes to include everything but then again with using a wide the problem is that everything is included instead.. hehe

Great shot my friend!

It really has been a long time, Lukasz. Many photos and two BIPs (congratulations!) have gone bye. This one is also very good,. I easpecially like the backlighting and the positioning you gave it.
Thank you for your very kind comment on my "Pretty waitress."
Best regards,
