Hi Mark
Nice shot of your sister. looking through your portfolio it seems that you are close to your family.
Technically your portrait can't be faulted and the simple approach works well. But i think that with such a beautiful family you should explore other options. The approach you have taken doesn't do your sister justice.
Perhaps you could explore different lighting options. Window light is a great place to start. Try a bit of side lighting to give modelling to the face. This will give a more 3 dimensonal feel to your images as they are they are quite flat.

You have alovely sister, Marky, and you captured her beauty very well. When yoou write that she is a sister in the accident and emergency department, do you mean that she is a nurse? I don't think that I told you that my wife, Rachel, was until she retired head nurse in a cardiac ward in the Tel Aviv municipal hospital.
Thank you for your congratulations. I met the old lady a few days after the photo had been taken and although we had never met before she recignized and greeted my like an old friend.
