Petal Wijnen   {K:47835} 7/19/2005
Super shot!!!! Beautiful tones, wonderful view, love the haziness/mood of it, excellent composition with that diagonal line.... well done!!! That pelican is a great bonus... ;-D!!! The only thing I would consider changing is the crop.... I think a panoramic crop would look great... had a go at it, hope you don't mind... Oh and before I forget: welcome to UF!!!

Hi Petal, thanks for your comments. I thought a lot about cropping, and tried several different places. But in the end I decided I like it as it is. It doesn't show up well on the computer screen, but there are some subtle ripples in the water in the foreground, so it is not like the area is totally empty. Panoramic is noce too, but it is a different image.

Good idea the emphasis on the foreground, I would suggest an 800 sized upload, sharpened after resizing to give the best impression of the original shot. I like the reduced color palette and decent tones here, very atmospheric.

great mystic mood! So many shades and silhouettes; lovely fairytale scenery; best regards, Pawel

Excellent composition, love the solitary pelican.
