Good shot considering the shutter was only open for 4 secs.

great lightning shot,Vasile
very few people can do that.
You can just about do anything with that camera.
Congrats
Waiting for that nice butterfly upload..
Cheers
Guido

Thanks for apreciation. Initially I posted the picture with the butterfly, but i deleted it for posting this picture. I'll upload it tommorow. Yesterday, in the park I photographed a peacock butterfly with wings open. It is gorgeous! It will be one of my next uploads :)
Cheers

Hand held???? incredible super pic my friend, very dificult!!!!!!!!!!

Vasile Florin   {K:3003} 7/20/2005
Indeed, it was dificult! I made about 15 pictures to catch a lightning in that max 4 seconds of my camera :(
I attached original photo resized. The lightning was strong and it wasn't blurred, but the house and the building were...

ARMANDO ALCÁZAR   {K:42316} 7/20/2005
the original is wonderful too my dear friend!! congrats

Sergey Datsenko   {K:480} 7/20/2005
Ther was a hell of a noise. I think.

matthew morgan   {K:1155} 7/20/2005
great capture realy well done for it being handheld the lightning is stuning 7+++

Vasile Florin   {K:3003} 7/20/2005
It was noise, but not to much...
This is a 500x500 crop from original pic with no adjustments.

Merwyn Kanjes   {K:3957} 7/20/2005
Excellent shot and moment. You Iucky can captured.
But, I prefer to see the original photo, more dramatic. Cheers my friend.

faina, imi place culoarea cerului, e superba si cand ma uit la fulger mi se face deja frica...dar arata foarte fain cum se proiecteaza din cer.

well done vasile! hand held for 4 secs is very difficult and you managed to do it with minimal shaking it seems. that is one powerful lightning bolt. i'm astounded by the amount of power these things are capable of delivering. can't critique this shot as you did the best you could under the conditions.

good work ~ james

Vasile Florin   {K:3003} 7/22/2005
The lightning was strong and it wasn't for long time to give the "shake effect" like the buildings.. I think this is the explanation of it's clarity..
I attached another picture taken in the same night. Here, the shaking is more visible... This are the first pictures taken by me to a ligtning.. Next time I'll have a tripod!
Thanks,
Florin

Woaw, this is the kind of picture I am dreaming about this summer. Let the lightning begin :-)

Brenda Guiles   {K:6128} 7/30/2005
I would have to agree with your crop of this incedible image! An excellent capture and yes I know what you mean using the 4 seconds the camera provides *sigh* been there done that!
