Cessy, there seems to be a rather unusual quality in the light at this port. The darker colours are rich, choclatey shadows with glowing reds and oranges, while the brighter ones are pale and misty, and tend more to cool blues. It's very unusual and rather attractive. I wonder how much of it was the original scene and how much due to post processing? In either case I like the look of it.

hi Roger, in this difficult contrast, I metered the background and the person. I don't want the person too dark so I lost the detail but I don't want the background to bright also. so I choose something in the middle, and then I lifted the contrast/brightness for the person in the foreground in PS. as for colors I did not change.
