good

Absolutely fantastic, Carsten - everything is beautifully balanced in this version! Still a wonderfully ominous and dramatic sky, but not so much as to overwhelm the delicate poppies. The color palette is really great, too! Into the favorites it goes!

Great shot, carsten.
Love the colors, tones. Very dramatic and powerful. The wide angle approach worked out really well.

David Hofmann   {K:23830} 7/21/2005
I love the dramatic foreground. Very nice perspective. absolutely beautiful colors. Very nice work!

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22103} 7/22/2005
Excellent use of a wide angle lens close to the plane to accentuate the recession into space. I think the graduated filter worked well to keep the sky in check and still maintain detail across the image.

Certainly your PS skills brought out some really vibrant tones and contrast. Nice warm tones, really high saturation on the flowers and everything - pushing the limit of a "real" photograph here...

Almost an illustration. Nice job. Drawing some lessons across your portfolio.

Mmmm, Alexey's "good" is a bit of an understatement, Cartsen!! Incredible clarity and detail, together with a wonderfully moody sky and light! Magic!
Best regards, Chris

I like this one best out of the two. I prefer the colouration and tones on the wheat and the flowers.

The original shot is fantastic. Such a great find in the middle of all the wheat. The close-up wideangle approach has delivered great results.

Fadel J   {K:13605} 7/24/2005
Both are amazing Carsten, I love the clearer definition in this one, and I love the darkness of the other one, great work as always!

Alison DuFlon   {K:36165} 7/24/2005
Wonderful color and details in the field, I also love the desaturation in the sky which adds a lot of drama to the shot. Alison

Jeanette, thank you for your nice comment ! This is one of my favourite photos, so I felt a bit sad some days ago when I came along this field - the farmer had mown it... tempi passati...

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59985} 8/1/2005
NO!!! Those changes are needed for the farmer - i know - but so sad for you and all the others that pass there and enjoyed the view and also could take wonderful images like this one!
