About A number of our friends and relations have died recently, but they live on within us....

This seems to have affected me personally. Ever since a funeral a few months ago I have gone 'quiet' in terms of my inspiration for photography. It is coming back to me, but shows me how intimate an art photography really is, and how linked it is to the soul.

This is a reload with slight improvement. Sorry if you commented on the original and I deleted it!

Greeting to all my friends.
Omar

Beautifylly composed and great tones.

No problem! =) Happends that i do that as well (quite often sometimes.. hehe).

Its a great portrait that makes me think about life/death. Very good pose/expression plus the composition with the tombstones in the backgrounds adds alot. I like the tones also!

Cheers

Very beautiful portrait. It recalls the work of Ingmar Bergmann, a master of black and white images resonant with somber feelings and memories.

Hi Omar,

Inspiration is always there but sometimes hidden from stronger feelings. So I know very well what you mean with you about.

The portrait is really strong in termins of the background and the message behind. good work!

best wishes,
Thilo

Very dramatic & strange feeling!

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 7/26/2005
Sorry for your losses Omar - your inspiration will come back renewed. This has the look of an early Bergman movie to me. A little ambivalent about showing the sign on the bench (as were you apparently :-)

The lighting, tones and the tomb stones in the background are very dramatic.... I know what do you mean my friend.
We all lose our beloved ones, that's life... we should pray for them and God for His blessings.
Thanx for sharing Omar, waiting for your photos my friend,
Khaled.

Magnifique portrait Omar...une très belle sérénité dans la pose...l'image en elle-même paraît parfaitement intemporelle...grand bravo

Luís Lobo Henriques   {K:9002} 9/10/2005
