About Here's one of those brightly painted wheelbarrows I've been photographing but this time in B&W. This is as near as I can get it with my digital darkroom to Tri-X with a green filter, a combination I shot for years and came to love dearly. Now I just try to emulate it...

Well all the grey shades seem to be there, Roger!
Excellent conversion!
Best regards, Chris
P.S. Thanks for pointing out the slip on my recent upload. I filled in the 'lens' type too quickly. I actually took it with my 70-300 at full tilt!!

Chris, I wasn't actually pointing out a slip. I was thinking that the 1.5 multiplicatiion factor of your zoom's 70mm "tele" end must have produced a stronger exaggeration of the slope than I remembered. After all, it's been almost 50 years since I was there! Thanks for commenting on this one, Chris, as it's unlikely to attract any more. Whichever filter I used, I couldn't get the wheelbarrow to "stand out."

Watch out! The more you fool around with wheelbarrows the "artier" you're getting. I like this immensely. There is a sort of order to the vertically stacked conduits. Variations on a theme. So what are you doing now to emulate Tri-X with a green filter? Maybe using the green channel and converting to b+w?

Hi, Richard. I have a plugin that offers close emulatin of the spectral characteristics of each film and really DOES succeed in emulating the "look." There's also some clever stuff with graih/edge sharpness and of course the effects of colour filters are easily duplicated from a colour image. Can't claim any skills--I just click on menus!

Very very good details!
