Great night shot! Well done. It's looks like 1600 ISO work out here perfect.
My regards, LArissa

Wonderful work, Manu!
I've found the 1600 setting on my D70 a little 'noisy' but this shot works really well.
Kind regards, Chris

Hi Manu

Cool image. When I first saw it I thought how the hell did you get the stars and the foreground like that surely you would need a long exposure to record the stars.

But I see it is a composite of two images well at least I hope it is or I'm making a right arse of myself. The image composite has worked well. I opened the image in photoshop and duplicated the background layer and added a soft light blend to it this helped remove some of the flare. I added a layer mask to bring back some detail in the foreground figure.

Give it a go see what you think. Cool image either way though.

Cheers
Mark

Fair play to you Manu! You brought along the D70 to a gig with you! I have been to Oxegen myself this year in Ireland and swore I will not go back to another gig without a decent camera - so I reckon I might just get 5-7mp for the occaision (or hint very heavily as a birthday present!). Niced image, I am impressed with the way the camera handled the light and there seems to be minimal noise.

what band are you in?

Hi Manu

I have added the altered pic. It's not such a great difference but I thought I would post it so you could share your secret.

Cheers
Mark

Nice version Mark....thanks for your ideas.

The secret is that it is one picture with no alterations at all...straight out of the camera. I'm still learning with this D70 and sometimes you get a pleasant suprise. The stars are the result of the DJ was in a tent surrounded by lights.

Cheers for your thoughts and keep 'em coming otherwise how are we to learn.

Manu

Thanks for that Manu. So much for my theory about stars etc.

Do you like the D70

Mark

Superb! Excellent mood and what a wonderful experiment. The atmosphere is fantastic: the smoke the rubish on the grass, the lights, so much to look. Great shot! -- Kind regards, RAfael
