About I took this picture through my spotting scope which caused the vignetting, but I still think it turned out well. It is difficult to get this close to a Snowy. She (by the heavy spotting) was completely unconcerned and in total control of her world. As majestic as the Great Gray.

Lori,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I checked your gallery and it's obvious you have been doing this for a while. The Snowy Owl is a sight not soon forgotten. We get them near Ottawa every winter.

He's beautiful. Actually, the vignetting adds a nice frame effect.

Hi Todd,

Well done! I love the way the vignetteing adds a surrealism to the overall image.

Sam,

Thank you for commenting! She just wanted to sleep. She paid no attention to me other than a quick glance.

Hi Todd,

Very, very nice!!! I actually really like the vignetting effect. Almost like a spotlight is on the own. One of those things you don't expect, but turns out to make the image even better!

wonderful!!
