Beautiful reflection so well captured Chris!!!! Is this Loch as in 'Loch ness'?????????As in Monster????
Is that who snapped the tree????LOL
Well done Pastor! My best...........JOhn

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 7/25/2005
Yes, John ~ it's that kind of 'loch', but it's a little way from Loch Ness so the monster would have had to walk about 80 miles if it fancied a nibble of this particular tree!! LOL!!
Thanks for the comment ~ yours usually bring a smile to my face! )
Best regards, Chris

Very nice composition in here Chris... I like how you composed it vertically including the reflection of the sky on the water.
Strong contrast and lighting too.
Well done my friend,
Khaled.

Stunningly simple yet elegant. Chris, thank you so much for your kind comments on my photo for my Dad. I was not aware you were a pastor. Cool! Also- I see we share the same birthday. Hope yours was much better than mine....! Love your work.

Sooo pretty Chris,
Awesome colors. The treetrunk has such character to it. And just to the right of it, you can't really tell where the background leaves off and the reflection begins.........

Beautiful!

Nice work,
Have a GR8 evening/day
Lori :)

Alastair Bell   {K:29571} 7/26/2005
Wow Chis! I have a book on NZ artists and their paintings of NZ and there is a painting on the front of it that I am so minded of when I look at this - it has the same rich greens, abstract knarled forms and reflections. At least a painter can control to the nth degree what is in their composition. You've found this in nature and reproduced it equally as well as any artist could. Superb!

Larry Quigley   {K:12884} 7/26/2005
Beautiful, Chris. I think I hear the soft swish of a canoe. Regards, Larry

Mari Mar   {K:11396} 7/26/2005

Joggie van Staden   {K:41275} 7/26/2005
Marvelous greens and browns in a great composition. Very well done Chris - a refreshing image indeed, make me think of Psalm 23. Regards.
Joggie

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 7/27/2005
This is a lovely spot, Chris. Would be lovely to just anchor a boat up there and take a long nap :)

I think your square framing works very well for theis shot. It reinforces the solid and secure feeling, I guess.

One think I'd be tempted to manipulate here is to "burn-in" that foliage on the top left corner.

Giorgio Goretti   {K:15471} 7/28/2005
excellent shot, love the atmosphere here
well done Chris
regards
Giorgio

Caprice Duvent   {K:3998} 7/29/2005

Best regards,
