About While in pursuit of images to photograph yesterday I came across this great cloud formation building over the Colin Range. Naturally I had to stop and bring the Ole D70 to life

Another cracker Tim! Those clouds look very moisture laden... I hope you had your raincoat!

The light in the centre of the image is fabulous. I was looking at it and thinking a little lightening of the foreground might help a little but then that would lose the effect of the light in the valley and up over the range so I think it best left as is. Lovely colour to the sky and that water....

Hi Alastair,

yes you could be right... i may try that out. I was attemping to creat a focal spot on the mountain and not allow the eye to get hung up on the foreground. But it is possible that it might balence out well with just a bit more light up front.
Thanks for the comment.
Cheers, Tim

Gorgeous scenic! i think the FG has enough interest and light...the BG light over the range is the focal pt. to me in this image...the natural palette with the striking blue of the sky and the gradient greens of the water is so appealing,Tim...great work!...regards,gayle
and that cloud formation is awesome!
