About Voice over:
Went home last week and drove down from up the top half of the north island to down the bottom of the south. This is my old playground. The starting point of the road trip and coincidently my starting point.
It is a patch of imported green grass on the most dead volcanoe on the auckland isthmus. It is mundane. I love it.
Was quite excited by the opprtunity to look for some more wild and out of the way places.
Here I am studying the tame city centre, they have even killed the scrub that filled this little canyon so it is better controlled. It was a beautifully scary place. It is probably not called devils canyon anymore, that was a name given it by children who played there.

Hi, Ian,

I am very much enjoying your movie and the story you're telling.

Your panoramas are very good.

Dmitry.

Hold on... Kiwi Canyon was over by the quarry... what's this Devil's Canyon of which you speak? The cork at the bottom part of the main volcano venting crater? Is that what we called it?

I thought Auckland was on the North Is and yet you say you drove from the top of the north to the bottom of the south and the image was made there... we are coming over the pond shortly I will look it up

I like the ambiguity of scale.

Verena Rentrop   {K:14426} 7/28/2005
I love the open wide green view which is so much limited on the height...

like looking over your shoulder into a totally different world for me...

thx for letting me look

Cheers,
Verena
