I like the burning-in effect around the edges, and for my money the black and white is really effective. I would say that the image needs to be bigger (you have 800 pixels to play with - why limit yourself?). Plus I would have placed his eyes higher than they are. While this means cutting off the top of his head a bit, that's not a big deal. Finally - I think that his eyes are not in focus, which is usually an absolute no-no in portrait photograpy (of course if it was deliberate then it might be a powerful yet subtly-drawn artistic statement which I am overlooking. If this is the case, I pray you excuse me :-] )

I think this is a nice portrait but as jon said make the file bigger and maybe bring her in a little closer she has such beautiful eyes to show off maybe a crop something like I have done here, still a lovely photo and a very beautiful model.. Tracey
