hi jason i like this film version better the colors are a lot more vibrent and i like how smooth the water is and you have done a realy good jop with the sloe shutter but dont get me wrong the other shot is still a great one 7+++

Alessandro Borsetti   {K:622} 7/27/2005
Great perspective and composition, possibly it's slightly blurred (i don't know if because it's a freehand shot)?
However, a really beautiful shot!
Ciao
Alessandro

Magnus Beierlein   {K:1566} 7/27/2005
MASTERFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob Graziano   {K:6080} 7/27/2005
Jason...I like them both but I really like this one a lot! I love the colors a great deal. You have captured it just at the right time to get the dusk and capture the lights of the city. What an excellent job! 7++++

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/27/2005
thanks for you comment Rob

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/27/2005
thanks Magnus

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/27/2005
thanks for the comment Alessandro, the blur would be because of the compression of the photo, parts of this shot should also look blurred anyway with a 45sec exposure

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/27/2005
thanks for your opinion Mat

Oh you're making me miss slide film Jase...this is so excellent. I prefer this to your 20D version, mainly due to the time of day. The sky's colour is vibrant, and you've got great detail in the buildings. :)

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/27/2005
thanks Peta, i'll have to get the name of a decent place to get my films scanned and photos printed down there as the place i'm using at the moment will not have my business much longer due to a few @#%$ups of late

Lily     {K:11009} 7/27/2005
Hi Jason, I love the film version but being a Canon digital owner, I say that with great pain!!.... The Velvia colors are luxurious. Assuming you took them back to back in similar lighting, film eqpmnt also did better capturing far away details.

p e t a .   {K:18159} 7/27/2005
Thats easy, I'll fill you in.

Kelly    {K:20268} 7/27/2005
WOW jason... this one hands down... what a difference, i think matt hit the nail on the head with his comment.. well done.. just gorgeous...
cheers
kel

Judi

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/28/2005
thanks Judi

Darlene Boucher   {K:15622} 7/28/2005
I looked back at the digital shot and compared it with this one and I've come to the conclusion.....that both are very beautiful! The colors in the film shot seem more saturated and the tones are a little different, but you did a great job on both of them (as always Jason!)

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/28/2005
thanks Darlene

Marcus Armani   {K:35759} 7/29/2005
Jason you keep finding ways to make the bridge look more original and beautiful, this is amazing, my shots from there are terrible when i look at yours.....

Rams Plastic-Aedtler    {K:609} 7/30/2005
Excellent photo. The slide is a slide.

Megan McCluskey   {K:3693} 7/30/2005
I think I like this one better...at least I like the city portion better. It's a little murky in the digital shot. They are both wonderful shots however. The angle you chose is what makes it. The arching bridge drawing you in and framing the city...perfect.

Regards,
megan

Jason Mckeown   {K:19641} 7/30/2005
thanks Megan

Mark Mahar   {K:3227} 8/9/2005
Looked at both, love them both for different reasons. The color in this is completely different but the detail is amazing. I love night shots, cityscapes, long exposure all day long. You are a talented shooter my friend, I have to take a look through your stuff when time permits.

Cheers,
-mm

Enrico Gori   {K:1645} 8/18/2005
I like both, but prefer this one, even if after scansion velvia film takes this dominant magenta I also find in some of my shots; many congratulations

Roberto Arcari Farinetti   {K:177228} 8/18/2005
absolutely wonderful.. great blue composition!
cheers

Hi Jason,

This is truly spectacular! The colors are awesome, nothing like chrome film.
(haven't seen the digital shot for comparison)

Your composition is EXCELLENT*

lovely neon tones, prefer this version to the other one. Great composition, love the framing of the city that the bridge creates.
At first sight it also looks sharper that the digital...

thanks for taking the time to look at my work and comment

Jeff Quigley   {K:965} 9/18/2005
I like them both, but I like this one a little better. The sunset colors combined with the lights of the city at twilight make this one special. Congratulations on the BIP for the other one and thanks for your comment on my balloon picture.

Jeff
