About Yesterday I suddenly heard emergency sirens, and turned and saw this DRNA boat coming with full sirens and lights on, luckily I had my camera in hand and took a couple of shots. This is a unit called the "Vigilants Corp," part of DRNA of Puerto Rico...:):)

I know this is really different for me, but couldn't believe how well they turned out and thought it was pretty exciting to see that girl hanging onto the side like that...hope you like them.

Gran toma y excelente y original presentación.
Felicitaciones mi querida amiga!

Muy hermosa tu poesia, que evidentemente habla mucho de tu interior y esa pena que queres ocultar...(me vas a contar algun día?)
Muchas gracias por traducirla para mí.

Un beso!

Great action shots, Linda! You did very well to catch this! What does DRNA stand for?
Dave.

Thanks Dave I thought so too, they were right on top of me before I knew it so really I was surprised they turned out...and glad of course..DRNA stands for Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, but in Spanish it's said this way..Depto. de Recursos Naturales y Ambientales, and therefore the abbr is DRNA...whew...thanks again Dave I always appreciate you...:):)Linda

Hi Linda,

awesome action shot linda - really well captured.

I t6hink the top one is certainly strong enough to be a subject in its own right... but I do like the two together - leaves me wondering what happens in the next 'frame'

awesome - well done linda!!

Steve

sherif hussein   {K:13806} 7/28/2005

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 7/28/2005
Excellent 'action' sequence, Linda! I love the way you presented these together so the viewer can follow the speeding boat into the scene. Really well done - crisp, sharp and clear! Abrazos!!

Alison DuFlon   {K:35865} 7/28/2005

Excellent timing and capturing. I could feel urgentness especially from the lower picture, contrasting to peaceful sail boats. Very good work, Linda. :):)

Nigel Watts   {K:10748} 7/28/2005
Great photograph, the one photo would look fine, but putting the 2 together adds more of a story.
(stop saying Knobbly kneed friend, it's making me laugh :) )
Nigel

Steve thank you for your comment and here's the next frame. I actually got 4 shots, but didn't want to bore everyone, but since you asked...just for you...:):)Linda

L. Gould   {K:11900} 7/28/2005
Great action shot! I love the 2 views that we get of this scene. The details are really crisp and clear on this. Really well done. :)

Mary Brown   {K:67818} 7/28/2005
They did turn out wonderfully well. Fabulous .
action shots! That sure wouldn't be me hanging onto the boat like that. In the top one especially the sense of urgency and the speed is so evident. Great.
Mary

Keith Saint   {K:10935} 7/28/2005
Two great images combined really well.
Reading the about I think you done well to get this shot given the amount of time you had.
(I hope the girl didn't feel the need to clap her hands)

Maria Luisa Vial   {K:36017} 7/29/2005
Excellent shot Linda... and perfect that you had your camera with you... Great action... I like the best the one on the top... Great details and the girl hanging out looks terrific...

Well done my dear friend...

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 7/29/2005
Thank you my dear MaLuisa...Actually I had my camera in hand to take some other pictures, so it was opportune, and yes that was my favorite part that she was riding on the side like that...I know I've promised to send you an email and I am still intending to do that, thank you so much for your patience...kisses and hugs to you my dear friend...:):)Linda

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47543} 7/29/2005
As of watching part of a film action, very well executed and I like the collage work of showing more close up details of the girl. Super. Saeed

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52315} 7/30/2005

perfect idea Linda, congratulations...the idea to have into a frame two photos with zoom difference between them is VERY nice, you give at the first the main idea and to the second top, you give your main 'target', that is the man trying to be on the side of the boat, and that is REALLY GREAT! complements!
