About I really liked what the graininess added to this image -- a little like a Cottingley fairy picture from another era. I hope you like it. The color version was uploaded immediately before this one. This is my final iteration of wings -- I think I'm satisfied with these (also adapted from Ronnie Gaubert's swallowtail butterfly -- such a beautiful creature). Hope you like it. Antonia

AnTonia, what a pleasure for me to see again your fairy picture that you always catched perfectly. I like very much the grain in this picture. The composition you've done, take us in an other time in which life seems to be different.. Really nicely done.
Fabrice

I think I prefer the colour version. It is so much more alive. But this definitely has the old time feel and would appeal to those people. Good creativity.

I like the B&W! Very effective, looks like its a real fairy!

pan giannakis   {K:16874} 7/29/2005
Yes, i do like this one as much as the previous version.I'm a big fun of monochrome. Beautiful, well done Antonia.

Carsten Ranke   {K:14453} 7/29/2005
Difficult decision, but if I had to vote I would chose the B&W. It has more "storybook appeal", excellent result !

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30021} 7/29/2005
Thanks Carsten, I'm glad you like this version..it is my favorite, though I like the color too, for the same reason.

Ursula Luschnig   {K:21809} 7/30/2005
Both are great but I think I go with the grainy version,it has this nice vintage mood which fits the image perfectly. It has a special aura..
Regards,Ursula

Thanks Ursula...I'm really glad to get this response to the grainy version. Antonia

Nice, but I prefer colour version :-).

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30021} 8/2/2005
Thank you Geza. I'm glad to know your preference. The comments in this case have really demonstrated why both versions have their place, as it seems to be 50/50 for color vs. bw this time! Antonia

I like the composition... great mood to the image... but not that crazy about the grain though, I think because it adds a little too much softness for me...

Cheryl Ogle   {K:24494} 8/2/2005
I know I made a comment on this photo - what happened to it?! Did you reload this and take one off? I am baffled... you know I love this shot - I had asked about the outfits and you had explained that this was hers... tell me I'm not crazy... :) Even if I am. Love this in both versions - I'd buy either of them if they were presented to me. Both magical in their own way.

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30021} 8/3/2005
Hi Cheryl...thanks for taking the time to comment again. Noooo you're not crazy. I changed the wings again (for the 3rd time). I just wasn't satisfied with the way the 2nd pair looked either. No one said anything negative, but they just bugged me...lol.

Terry S.   {K:3083} 8/3/2005
Hi Antonia, this is wonderful - you've definitely succeeded in creating an old era feel to this - magical! I love the added grain and prefer the b&w version - more in keeping with the mood.

Nicole Marcisz   {K:10163} 8/9/2005
yes I agree, the grain works well. I'll checkout the color version next.

cheers,
nicole
