Now this is clever Marky - Framing the subject with the struts of the pier! Love the way the struts of the foreground pier change the geometric shapes produced as it goes from left to right - visually entertaining... and then those shapes are reproduced in the background pier too, reinforcing the foreground one. Finally the lighthouse completes the visual tour of the Blyth piers in a very clever way. Super composition Marky!
Isn't it strange the way you have so many lighthouses in the North East and yet we have virtually none in the North West? When I was at the Tall Ships with Keith I could count 5 ighthouses of various shapes and sizes without moving!

Lovely tone. The lines are teriffic. I love the position of the lighthouse peeking through the pier. One's eye is drawn from the left to follow the pier and then back to the lighthouse and back left via its pier. The bird is a bonus. Wonderful picture.
