Hi Toshi. Originally, there were more rocks in the foreground. I liked them, but unfortunately, they seemed to take up too much of the picture and overpower the sky. That's why I cropped them out.

I expect some will suggest you should have croped out the rocks in front, but I like how they give depth to the photo. Sort of a point of reference to guess at the distance of things in the photo. Del.

Hi Del. Thanks for your comment. I have a number of shots from different spots. Some are pretty much the same without the rocks, but somehow they looked less interesting and the sense of distance wasn't the same. So, I preferred including the rocks. So far, people like them.

Wow! If I wanted to quibble I would give you the standard advice to NEVER have you horizon line in the centre of the frame. But rules are made to be broken, and in this case the image is beautiful AS IS.

Hi John. I don't think I had my poloriser when I took this. Now that I have one, I will have to find time to experiment more. However, this day, I really liked the way the clouds were reflecting on the water. The lake was so calm and mirror-like and the sky so bright.
