Nice IR shot, good use of the barrel of hay as foreground & like the dramatic sky. Tones look good, well done Chris, cheers.

The IR filter gives the luminous transition between ground and clouds in the sky. Nicely seen and really well done Christine

Strong photo, like the use of the Infrared filter, very classical image.

Welcome back, Christine! You've been practicing, haven't you? You definitely have the IR filter down and nailed the beautiful, surreal, dreamy look of the trees and the dramatic sky! The hay bale is tack-sharp, too, so a success all around! :) I don't know if it's the angle of bale in the foreground, but I get the impression that it's gazing at the other bale in the distance - maybe he'll roll over nonchelantly and meet her! (how's that for anthropomorphism? :):)

Welcome back,dear Sassy! and about time,too! ;>
Surreal look with the IR filter...very nice tonal range and that FG bale looks like satin with the sunlight sheen....nicely composed and nice depth to this image with that expanse of sky and the shy bale in the BG...thanks for recent comments to me as you know i always love your feedback,my friend...hugs,gayle

Christine.. this is just great! The sky is so powerful...the greenery so . . white! The hayroll situated perfectly! Stunning.

Welcome back, As an old farm boy I love you featured a bale of hay to contrast with the sky. The B/W and IR worked very well here. Creates a very moody photo. Del.

Happy, happy, joy, joy, you're back. And with a flourish. While this is black and white, I am green with envy because I don't have a camera that can do this. But even if I did I wouldn't be able to come close to your magnificent compositions. You certainly had a heyday here in the hay fields!

best regards,

The filter softened the black and white. The tones are subtle and explosive............Opal

Thank you for your nice comment about my photo

Magnificent photo, Christine. Excellent use of the filter and camera equipment, not to mention the keen eyes and mind to visualize this scene as a photograph.

Wonderfully composed. The IR effect adds to the drama. Have a great 2006 Christine.
