Nicely composed shot. First I thought I'd like to see someone in a seat, but then I appreciated it as it is. A person present would draw most of your attention there, away from the other elements. But let me pry if you will - how many shots did you get,did you try for one with empty seats, if you had any with persons present, did you debate using it? Just curious.

I love these swings...did you ride? Lovely silhouette. These are very familiar as they are at a carnival we attend every year, and I have pics to prove it -- and I got very ill trying to take pictures while sitting in the swing...hahaha. Antonia

Oh Randy! Yes i have many with persons in the seats as well. I gonna post them later, not today! I was fascinated by the strange mood by the empty seats....in a amusing park and with a long que it was so strange with this view. But it was aesthetic for me and work well as a kind of abstract too.

Antonia - i?m impressed, to make shots while IN this seats and while whirling!!!? I would never be possible :( No i did n?t ride, my son didn?t want to so hopefully next year he feel more into it. We went by something else very fast and high and he got scared. After that i was only letting go by "nice" joyments :)

Interesting message when all the chairs are empty - normally these shots have silouettes of people, but I think this presents a little better. Less congested, simplified, and graphic.

The queues were long but the chairs were empty... typical! :)
Very nice idea, Jeanette. The leaning lines communicate the motion, even though the image is sharp and there is no motion blur. The sky is beautiful and reinforces the feeling of a nice, fun, summer day at the fairground.

These things seem to be all the rage this week - saw one yesterday as well. I might have to post mine :-) I like the empty seats - a bit of a ghost amusement park. The nearest seat (in the upper left) takes away a little from the esthetics for me.

You always find these wonderful lines, I love that you can't see the ground only the sky-turns it into magic. Don't really care for the chair on the left in the foreground-but I guess it has to be there to get the wonderful comp. Love it~~~
