About Just back from two weeks in France. On the way back from some great walking in the Pyrenees we stopped at Carteret on the Normandy coast. In the evening I walked out onto the rocks to see what I could see. This is the first in a series of images. I was pleased when I saw the transparency as having finished shooting I looked at the filter in front of the lens and found it was covered in salty spray! I used a 2 stop soft ND grad, 2 soft ND filter (to slow the exposure) and a polariser.

Felicitaciones!

Great perspective and foreground/midground clarity in this shot; lovely hues. I wish the clouds were in better focus, but it's still a beautiful piece.

It is so great !

Barry even though I generally like to see the water 'running' this is just just such a stunning composition, the colours and textures are wonderful

Bellissimo paesaggio marino, eccellente cattura e colore!!!!
Compl. Barry!!

Saluti.

Great concept, I love the long exposure effect in the foreground. Of course, the motion blur in the sky is distracting, and I might have tried out a double exposure technique (without ND for the sky, and long exposure for the ground) and make a composite then in PS. Anyway, great shot !

nice

I really love those colors and textures. I'm a big fan of long exposure (have not done much myself yet, though)
Brilliant shot, very nice framing.

Great shot - agree with Carsten on the sky, but I am glad to hear that this was done with filters. Sounds like a difficult set up and well rewarded...

Barry,

This is a fantastic and splendid long exposure.

It's amazing how far the clouds have moved in 10 seconds!

The results are very pleasant and compelling.

Thanks for the view. I've never been to France, but hope to someday. Beautiful. Cheers! Sam
