About A very different view of Pic du Midi d'Ossau taken about 30 minutes after the shot from the barrage. The blue and pink of the dusk added real drama and mystery to the scene. I used a 3 stop soft ND grad to balance the exposure whilst waving away the horses that roam the lakeside at night and which threatened to knock my tripod during the 25 second exposure!

I much prefer this one to the one containing the cement barrage, Barry. Of course, a matter for personal preference, and your previous entry was very accomplished, too.

But this is a clear level above, for me. Much more mood, not so much the mountain mist, but real menacing-looking clouds.

Excellent.

You sure get around Barry! I like this one. I think it would work very well if cropped in half, the foreground distracts slightly from the fantastic hues and colours in teh top third of the frame.

Thank you for comments on my last upload. APOY seems to be going alright even though I failed to be placed in 2 rounds - and the number one and two positions will be hard to pull back. However, I got a phonecall from AP today to say that I won the latest Texture round for http://www.usefilm.com/image/692414.html - I like teh shot a lot myself but its magic to look at in printed form.

Rgds,
Shane

Wow this is outstanding ! Into my favs. One of the best landscapes I have seen for a while. Nothing to improve, composition, sharpness, exposition, colors and contrast all excellent. Congrats.
