Congrats for well deserved BIP,lady!...there are many cute kid images on UF,but now and then one stands out because it goes beyond cute kid look and also incorporates a mood: nostalgia for this one.....and artistic: contrast level and great choice of tone....the child's eyes convey something precious and the outfit is cool...very good work,DD....sorry am slow to comment as not on UF much lately and hope to post/comment more tomorrow or the next day......goes to faves and 7+...regards,gayle (thanks for comments and love the one about fairytales with knights in shining armor...what a hoot!)

Outstanding image Dorothy... So evocative of not only times past (from the toning) but also those brave souls who died at 9/11 and look death in the face each day as part of their normal work. Such a wonderful innocent expression of joy, awe and tranquillity all at once. One of the most award worthy shots I have ever seen.

My best compliments Dottie!! I completely agree with the staff about the award.
I really don't know how was doing but surely you can figure out taking a look from my last pictures.
I'm managing a lot of things to do among videos and exbitions so I'm busy, happy and tired at same time.
Fire arcade, stairways, shadows in the wall, and clouds carpet with a blu tunnel on the rails, to choice the right path...It's your turn.
Still I have to go over...you know... I am a restless nomad...
