About This is a die. The "brain" of a computer chip. It measures about 2 x 4 mm.

I used a reversed 28mm lens on the end of a 105 mm lens to get the magnification.

Well this is pretty cool for a macro of such a little item. It seems to be a bit tilted but other than that pretty good job. I saw another picture of an abstract one time that a guy commented on and said he would like to have a shower curtain made from the image. In my mind this would be what I would probably think I would find in a bachelors' apartment as a shower curtain design.

I am amazed at the clarity of something that started out being 2mm by 4mm!!! You've done a great job getting in close and keeping the DOF even. It looks a little tilted to me as well, but otherwise a very neat macro!

Thanks for the comment, Kim. About it being tilted, I see it too. For some reason it "squares up" between guides but looks off-kilter. This was manipulated in Photoshop a lot as the actual die was in really bad shape. For some reason they don't let me use "live" chips or dice when I shoot them. They keep talking about static or something. ;-)
