About This is a long exposure shot I took from Waterloo bridge the other day at dusk. I have been doing a lot of darkroom work recently (hence my relative inactivity -- apologies to all). This one is the first time I scanned from my print as opposed to from the neg. I have to say that (of course) the print is so much better. The waves on the water are breathtaking but unfortunately no way to share with you!
Sorry to all who have commented and I have been quiet! The darkroom is a real black hole!!

this is VERY nice. Too bad I can't share the finer details, but it's understandable.

Hi Omar, definitely one of the best London skylines I've seen in a while. Very moody indeed, and a very good fit with the feel of the City. The slow exposure creates a nice tranquility, fitting the atmopshere very well. Also, the tonal range is awesome. Very professional shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hugo,
Many thanks for your comment. I am very happy that you appreciate the shot. Actually I owe it to you as I used your 'wedging' technique on the bridge! It worked very nicely for me in this case!
I have seen that you have produced some very nice shots. i promise to drop by and comment as soon as I get a moment. I always like to set aside some time to take in your shots..

Hi Omar,

nice work here. the water part becomes mysterious while the background is well lighted. perhaps the water part is a bit too dominant here. anyway great shot!

best wishes,
Thilo

Bea,
Thanks for the appreciation. If you like I'd be happy to send you a print (email me your postal address to foxinsocks74@yahoo.com) it would be a small gesture of thanks for the inspiration to buy the Rolleiflex!
I ordered some porta today. Hopefully in a few weeks you will see the results. And yes, I did tinker with 3200. A couple of the shots here on usefilm are with this. Its works very nicely in low-light. I was thinking of taking some and doinf some London dusk shots of shadowy people.....

Belle image....à la fois dense et paisible..il est nécessaire de toujours avoir une bonne maîtrise technique pour des longues poses..c'est très réussi pour cette image...

Bea Friedli   {K:9834} 8/21/2005
