NHK (our public broadcasting company) and the temple would probably both dispute this title, but the temple is right next door to the NHK skyscraper... quite a contrast in architectural styles. In this shot, I've managed to keep modern Tokyo at bay and give you the atmosphere of this ancient foundation in the heart of Tokyo.

Roger, I was amazed to find that this superb quality B&W of Tokyo's historic centre was still waiting for its first view, let alone comment! Excellent shot! Best regards, Chris

Thanks, Chris, faithful commenter! The light was so attractive, and this one angle kept modern Tokyo out of the picture... I was rather pleased with it. It's sad when few others agree.

Roger, there's no relationship of image quality to number of comments ? you know that. This is a very stately and tranquil setting which invites a walk down the . . . uh, walk. You succeeded admirably in keeping modern megalopolis out of the picture. Your tones are varied and lend much to the illusion of depth. Viva Voigtlander!
