Yes, I think we have all been helped out along the way by our involvement in UF, Dottie! I know I've certainly benefitted by being able to see so many great images and the friendly and constructive comments made on my own shots. I can only hope it continues that way, and that others do, too.

Excellent job with the help of some fine people and agree with your about!....rec'd some emails today telling me they will not renew once their donor memberships are up because they don't agree that sarcasm is valuable critique!...never been in my book.....regards,gayle one to cherish,DD!

Hello Dottie!!! Excellent collage!!! I mean really well done!!! Your 'about' is pretty accurate! I try to comment on a wide range of photos but I think the problem is, at least with me, My friends list is approaching about 100!!!!!
Trying to keep up is almost impossible!I find myself picking and choosing one or two of the best shots from about ten of each of My Friends photos and then a few others at random as well!
There are many times I don't even go to the most recent uploads for lack of time! but that said, I still Love this site and the mostly positive people and friends!!!I look forward to signing on!~To Me it's fun and relaxation!!! And I have learned tons on this site!!!!Thanks for the though provoking 'about'!!!

Beautiful work Dottie. I've been involved in may changes lately. I'm transfering to a different facility in Moneta, and working on a house that was destroyed by previous renters ( an old farm house), and preparing to move in the next few weeks. Busy, busy, busy. I"ll be close to Smith Mountain Lake, and hopefully will again get time to go out and search for the beauty, that I know is there. I agree with John. I have so many people on my list, it's very hard to keep up. I should be ashamed for my lack of comments lately. I"ll try to get better again when I get settled. Maybe someday you can show me how to do this collage :)

Great work Dottie, and it is so good that there are so many people who are willing to be supportive and helpful, many good friendships have been made on this site. Sometimes that makes it difficult - when I am behind with viewings and comments I can barely see my friends images and others tend to go by the wayside at such times.

About your about, I have to say that here I found a new family with brothers, Sisters and a lot of good people that help me in diferents ways with they advices and words, even one of our memmers Murat from Murat & Drica is like my blood brother and he come continue to my country and we have a lot of fun here together, Here I know a wonderful woman like Alison De Leo and she is like my sister too and others greats friends that teach me a lot like DAVID MC Clenaghan that enven send me from Australia like a 10x macro lens a gift that Is in the way to here and Peter Houtmeyers, you, Judi, kelly and all my dear friend from UF.
I dont understand why are some people that want to insult our UF Family instead of be one member more like another brother. Really I am very sad that this are happen in the place that I feel like my home. Greetings to all my UF brothers and God bless you all

Hey girl - I wanted you to know I am taking down my "friend list" and adding everyone to my Associates list - I think that long list has stopped me from seeing more photos. Im doing this to all of my list so don't be offended - I will check in on you for sure! I just don't have the time right now but I love your work so I will keep up on you.

Hey There, Thanks for the heads up. I totally understand... I feel bad because I'm about 50 behind on my friend's list now. (At least 50!)Does the Associate's list notify you less often? Just curious, as my assoc, list is quite long & I don't get nearly the numbers I do from my friends list. Any luck on the Neat Image info? I have the program, just can't get it into my CS2. :( Dottie

I don't get notified on any of my lists - I just see a "many by associates" in the top header when I come to UF. It frees me up to view the photos I want without the feeling of "having" to comment on images. :)

Wow, you sure have this collage making down now. This is wonderful. It is very classy.
I agree that it is a real shame that some people don't have manners or consideration. When someone leaves with hurt feelings, the whole site suffers. UF has been a great learning place for me. I feel I have friends from all over the world and really appreciate the suggestions and support. In terms of comments; my Friends and Associates lists have grown soo much, I have a very hard time keping up. It is almost impossible. There are so many wonderful posts, I know I am missing a lot, but one would have to be here all day and then some to view and comment. I make an effort to comment on at least a few new to me people each time. That's how my lists have got so long--when I see and enjoy someone's work, I add them to my Assosiates to keep track of their new posts--and the list just keeps getting longer.

Nice and well said about the site Dotty. I've taken almost 12 months out of photography and glad to be back and hopefully make more of an effort to comment on everyones photos. This is a very nice collage anyhow and well created. well done.
