Love the silky smooth water and the perfect alignment of the boats. Gorgeous sky and excellent work, Linda!

Very nice shot!!! Lovely view, beautiful colors, good composition... like the fact that you've incorporated the marina, nice source of shapes and colors... well done!!!

Linda Bique   {K:73877} 8/11/2005
Thanks Carolyn, I'm glad you mentioned the water because I forgot to mention it. I wanted to say that we rarely have that kind of water so I was pleased...I don't normally get up that early but we only get an hour of water right now 3 times a day while they're replacing the water lines, so I got up and looked out and was glad to get that picture...thanks again, and I'm glad you liked it...:):)Linda

Carolyn Wiesbrock   {K:14051} 8/11/2005
You are so lucky to live near the water..where was this taken?

Carolyn Wiesbrock   {K:14051} 8/11/2005
I see where you have Puerto Real, but I've never heard of that...

Linda Bique   {K:73877} 8/11/2005
From my balcony here in Puerto Rico...I live on a small island...:):)Linda

L. Gould   {K:11900} 8/11/2005
I'm so jealous of your view!!
This is really beautiful. The sky looks beautiful and I love the lines of boats. Really beautifully composed. well done and I agree--we do need a seascape category. :)

Carolyn Wiesbrock   {K:14051} 8/11/2005
What a wonderful location, you are so lucky. I lived in Hawaii once for three years..I love tropical islands. I've never been to PR..maybe one day...

What a gorgeous scene looking out over the harbour Linda! The sky is really beautiful!! those big puffy cotton clouds look so soft!!!I like the two rows of docks coming out of the bottom of the frame and the speckles of boats dotting the water beyond!A peaceful and lovely scene Linda!!!
Great photo!!! Now I will look at the B&W version! Take care Friend!..........................John

Rob Graziano   {K:6009} 8/11/2005

NN     {K:26787} 8/11/2005
Hi Linda! Such a wonderful sight! Love those clouds and the blue tones here; so beautiful! *hugs*

Cheryl Ogle   {K:24494} 8/11/2005
I love the color one the best - it really adds to the composition with all the boats and that great sky!
I wanted you to know I am taking down my "friend list" and adding everyone to my Associates list - I think that long list has stopped me from seeing more photos. Im doing this to all of my list so don't be offended - I will check in on you for sure! I just don't have the time right now but I love your work so I will keep up on you.

Linda Bique   {K:73877} 8/11/2005
Cheryl I completely understand I am having the same problem. I can't keep up with 3 pics a day from all of my friends...I will keep an eye on you too...glad you liked my pics...thanks...:):)Linda

Marusnik Bela   {K:11611} 8/11/2005
Very good work, I like the B&W version also, but it is better with living colours.Congrats!

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 8/11/2005
A wonderful vista, Linda. The clouds and sky are gorgeous and very well captured.

That building intruding on the left is a bit of a pain, but I think you're just going to have to live with it.

I'd love for you to try some with just a sliver of land and a BIG sky --- wish we had a category called "skyscapes"! ;)

Ellen Smith   {K:14418} 8/11/2005
What a shot wow it's over the top. Nothing wrong with this shot sorry.
7/7

George Black   {K:101993} 8/11/2005
This is a realy lovely record of a beautiful scene. I agree, by the way, about seascapes. They are different. And what about animals, action, artists and their work . . . etc., etc. ???

Regards,
--George

Mohamed Banna   {K:34210} 8/11/2005

Dave Stacey   {K:114933} 8/11/2005
Beautiful scenic of both the sky and water, Linda! I like them both for different reasons, I can't really say I prefer one over the other!

Darlene Boucher   {K:15622} 8/12/2005
OMG!! Beautiful image Linda! Everything here is so wonderful, and it looks calm enought to get out there and catch a few fish! Love it!

Mary Brown   {K:67788} 8/12/2005
This is fabulous, Linda! The expanse is marvelous. I like the little patch of red on the boat on the right. The clouds are gorgeous.
Mary

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 8/12/2005
Very pretty Linda. Great focus on this. Nice lines formed by the docks. The drama in the clouds and their reflection in the water is really nice.
Susie

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37779} 8/12/2005
Beautiful scene and atmosphere captured here, Linda. Love the serenity even with the crowded boats here. Very nice angle taken, as well. Congratulations, my friend.

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 8/12/2005
Wow, Linda, what a view you have!! 6:30am? I thought you weren't an early riser! (or were you standing there in a bathrobe with serious 'bed-head' and a cup of coffee? :):)
This came out beautifully with those wonderful clouds and their subtle reflection in the water. I think I prefer this color version to the black and white, just because it has more 'life' to it!
I love the way the twin docks lead the eye into that amazing vista!

Tony Smallman   {K:15411} 8/12/2005
The great expanse of sea and sky combine beautifully to create a feeling space and freedom.
Regards,Tony

Neil Dolman   {K:26883} 8/14/2005
Hi Linda, i just checked out both of these early morning shots. I'm never sure which i like the best, probably this one. I too have phases where i try a lot of B&W but i never really know if that is because i like B&W (which i do) or that i'm subconciously submitting to the masses which here in UF show a distinct bias towards B&W, IMHO.
Thanks for sharing and also for looking at my work.
All good things, Neil

Sameh Odeh   {K:4717} 8/14/2005

Best wishes..
