This is a really good photograph, but my focus is on her expression of bored resignation.

Though the slight distraction [?] of the light on the steps, top right, would be eliminated by a crop putting her at the centre of the shot, that would probably change the impact and might not be the effect you were aiming at?

cessy karina   {K:14205} 8/12/2005
thanks Len
yeah about the light :(, I do prefer this composition but I do wish the light is on her :)

thanks,
cessy

Interesting shot about loneliness with very good levels of gray in expose.

Great capture of the subject's expression (I know that look) and very good composition. The softness and BW work well.

Nicely captured moment...lovely tones.

Roger Williams   {K:84100} 8/12/2005
I think the bright light on the steps to the right has an interesting effect. It makes the brightness of the light on her arms, so important for the overall effect, look more credible. Otherwise it might look too much like "dodge and burn." (Nothing wrong with that, of course!)

I don't think I would want to keep this beautiful young woman waiting!

Dave Stacey   {K:137808} 8/13/2005
A very well composed candid portrait, Cessy! Perfect in b/w.
Dave.

Neal Nye   {K:15827} 8/13/2005
The mood in this picture is wonderful. I'm sure this lovely lady won't have to wait long. If this door doesn't open for her, another one will soon. Great work Cessy.

NN     {K:26787} 8/13/2005
Excellent composition & tones; very nice mood!

Mark Sherman   {K:15637} 8/13/2005
like how she's prepared for the rest of the day, but how this feels is kinda lonely but with the sun adding such a sense of hope, of what might be in the future.

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 8/13/2005
A very nice street candid, Cessy.
I'm just wondering how it would look without the bright light to the right, which is a little distracting?
Best regards, Chris

Stephen Bowden   {K:64540} 8/13/2005
