About My brother Steve, poses in front of his 25 year old Corvette, minutes before we take off to get some shots of even older cars. ( my brother can be seen as the subject matter of some of my earlier photos titled "The Photographer's Apprentice", and a few others. )

Great shot of the corvette and of your brother Steve! Love the tones of this image, very well done.....love the cars you shoot Andre!

A treasure Andre! Wow -- nice car. Your brother is a lucky guy -- for both the car and for having you to capture such a wonderful shot of him with it. Tell him he owes you dinner (or something like that...lol). Antonia

Thanks Thilo,
I think my brother will be pleased with it.

Thanks Darlene,

I am trying not to be too cliche in the car shots. Although this one is kind of a classic pose. Generally I'm pretty happy with most of the shots.

Hi Toni,

I was trying to get a more human touch with some of my car shots, so I figured I could use my brother for practice. I like the results.

BTW
You don't know my brother... trying to get dinner out of him would be like getting blood out of a stone. :)

VERY NICE CONTRAST, GOOD ANGLE. ABHRA.

Thanks for the nice comment Abhra.
And thanks for taking the time to visit the rest of my portfolio.

This is a great setting for a portrait. The car and your brother are looking good as a result.

Andre Denis   {K:56377} 11/28/2005
Thanks Mark,
And thanks for going back in my portfolio. That's one of the problems of this site. I'll bet most people limit themselves to the front page of people's portfolios, simply because they don't have time to look further. Sometimes our best stuff is on page 4 :)

Hi Andre; a while back I suggested to UF about the possibility of shuffling our portfolios so that the early stuff that we uploaded could be in the front. Maybe if enough of us would ask, they could do it. Anyway, I enjoyed your photos from the '80's. That was a great decade. Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark,
What I was thinking of suggesting was that The first 10 images could be the poster's choice. You know, sort of your own personal top ten list. Then the new ones could start. That way most of your best work along with the current work could be on your front page. What do you think?
BTW this image and the others titles Lost in the 80's were taken this past summer.:) It's only because of the 1980 Corvette that I used that title....And my brother :)

Our own personal top 10 favorites up front? That will work fine. I'm always interested in what the photographers consider their best work anyway. I'm for it.

Mark

Mark,
It seems like a natural thing to do. After-all, we are here to show people our images. Why not give us the choice which ones get the most exposure? All we can do is suggest to the administrator.
Andre
