Len Webster   {K:22426} 8/13/2005
First-class black and white portrait. Her natural good looks are complemented by an enigmatic expression and lovely clear eyes that stare at us. Love the angle, too.

Hi Janet,
Superb portraiture here! Excellent choice of angular presentation as well as the way you've handled the tonal range. It looks like true window light. Soft, yet radiantly bright. Great spectral highlights in this beautiful model's eyes. You score big with this winner! B)

Judy Bodden   {K:1694} 8/15/2005
Wow Janet, I would love to know how you get this tone in PS. Not quite sepia and not quite B/w. Love it.

Janet B   {K:16139} 8/16/2005
Hi Judy,
My best 'guess' is a hue/saturation adjustment??? I took this one a few months ago to use for her senior picture and I really don't remember...sorry! If it comes to me, I'll let you know!
Thanks for your nice comment!

Chris Nichols   {K:7044} 9/15/2005

This has got to be the eldest; the same fantastic eyes of the family and a very beautiful young lady. I am still convinced that they take after you sweetiepie.

The shooting angle and final crop are excellent, making this a truely wonderful composition with superb even lighting. Just perfect.

'See' you again soon my sweet Janet.LHKVBW..Ray

portraits like this make me just think i CAN'T do portraits (and i almost never do, in fact...). i can't live without hard lights and dramatic shadows, without deep editing and soft focusing...
this one is simple, clear and beautiful... (well, she's a beautiful girl too, and it helps!)

Janet B   {K:16139} 1/2/2006
Thank you so much, Marco! And you CAN do portraits with hard lights and shadows, right!?!!
You'd be great at it, too!
