About When I took this shot the sun had started setting however was still very high and bright. I shot this with a fast setting which I think has resulted in a strange but pleasant picture. Let me know what you think?

Beautiful effect, for sure. Did you take a shot with a smaller aperture? That would have been my initial thought faced with a beautiful vista like this one.

Best wishes,

Thanks for the comment always appreciated. The picture was taken with the smallest aperture available F8 and exposure was set to 1/1000 sec. I did not expect the shot to be any good due to the brightness of the sun but I think it worked well.

The colour in the sky is nice, and I like the silhouette of the masts, but I would like to see a little more detail in the mid-ground - so that you can make out just a bit more of the boat.

Thanks for your comments. I have to agree with your thoughts regarding the boat being to dark. Will improve on this next time I?m in the area!
