About Subject background: well... my orthopedist is getting a lot of money these days since my trips to NYC... again, you see the crysler in an alternate perspective.

a crowded sky with a small door open to the right. but how long will this door be open?

Hi Thilo, Love these images. Guess we both ended up with sore necks and maybe even backs from the beauty that goes on above eyelevel in NYC....:) Superb view. Your post processing capabilities add a timeless, if not then dated / time stamped look about it, which fits with the atmosphere, and brings back the feeling of the construction workers balancing their lunch 50 stories up I remember from a poster when I was a kid. It fits the atmosphere like a glove.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Thilo,
You needed one of those super telephotos to get a close up of those famous gargoyles from that position :)
Nice shot and nice reflections.
My youngest son is going to NY city in Oct. for a conference. He may have to visit a chiropracter when he gets back too.

Hi Thilo,

There are a couple of old music videos that make good use of those gargoyles. I think one of them is by the group "10,000 Maniacs" The lead singer Edie Brickell? walks out on the ledge to one of the gargoyles, if I am not mistaken. Blue mask filming, not real. There is another in Sepia tones as well. Not quite sure of the artist.

Hello Thilo,
very nice angle and composition,
I think that the reflections of the building add to the picture,
best wishes,
Burak
